ABC application types

The California ABC new applications report gives each application a code for the kind of application it is, in its Action column. ORI is an original application, for a new license. PER is a person to person transfer, of an existing license to a new owner. Other codes appear as well, such as FID, fiduciary. The report also prints PRM, on its own and in PER/PRM.

The codes are ABC's own. The new applications report at abc.ca.gov prints them with no key. ABC's License Lookup glossary lists ORI, PER, FID and other codes under Action, the type of action taken. It lists PREM, Premise to Premise, but not PRM or PER/PRM. ABC's page on transferring or changing a license describes the kinds of transfer. The ABC file on this site carries the code as the report prints it, in its application_type column.
