LWDA

LWDA stands for the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency. It is the state agency over seven departments, boards and panels that enforce labor laws, run employment and training programs and administer benefits, and it is the agency a PAGA notice is filed with.

The initials are the agency's own: its About page at labor.ca.gov gives the full name and says it is also known as LWDA or the Labor Agency. One of its departments, the Department of Industrial Relations, runs the PAGA case search at cadir.my.salesforce-sites.com/PagaSearch, where notices filed with the LWDA can be looked up.
