X-date
An x-date is the date an insurance policy expires. The term is short for expiration date, and insurance agents use it for business and personal policies alike.
It is insurance trade usage rather than an agency term. On the Contractors State License Board's public data portal at cslb.ca.gov, the list of contractors by classification heads a workers' compensation policy's x-date PolicyExpirationDate and the list by classification and county heads it ExpirationDate1, and where those dates come from is answered on a page of its own.
The file this site sells from these records has its own page: the contractor renewals file.
