The Public Record Feeds PAGA dataset holds 7,290 PAGA notices filed with the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency between 1 January 2026 and 28 September 2026, an average of 843 a month across the 7 complete months, January 2026 to July 2026.

What this counts

This dataset holds PAGA notices filed with the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency. Coverage starts on 1 January 2026. That is where the query window of the one historical load this dataset has had begins, and nothing earlier than it was ever loaded on purpose. Since 4 September 2026 a pull has run every day, querying that day and the three days before it, so a notice the agency posts late is picked up over the days that follow. The agency's own search filters on the date a notice was posted rather than the date it was filed, so a small number of notices carry a filing date from before 2026. Those are notices reposted inside the 2026 window, and they are not historical coverage. The agency publishes no completeness guarantee and its search gives no way to confirm that it returned every matching record, so any count built from this dataset is what was collected rather than a certified count of what exists.

By month

What this table counts: PAGA notices filed with the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency. A notice is counted in the month of its filing date.

Each month in the file carries a complete flag. Whether a month is complete: true once the whole of the following month has ended. A month is not finished filling on the day it ends, because PAGA notices are posted late, so a month that is not complete is still filling. A month still filling is counted in the total above and left out of the monthly average.

By county

What this table counts: PAGA notices filed with the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency whose employer address is in a named California county. A county with a count of zero is not listed.

Not in a county: 1,601. PAGA notices filed with the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency whose employer address cannot be placed in a California county: an address outside California, no usable ZIP, or a California ZIP the county lookup does not list. The counties in the table and this figure add up to the 7,290 in the total above.

It carries only the notices that name an employer with a California address, and leaves out any whose employer name reads as a person's name.
