Can you get email alerts for new PAGA notices?

Not from the state's PAGA case search: it has no alert, no saved search and no email option. You check it yourself, or take a daily or weekly email from Public Record Feeds with a CSV built from it.

What the state offers

The PAGA case search is run by the Department of Industrial Relations, one of the LWDA's departments. It finds filings by submission type and date range, narrowed if you like by a name, a city or a ZIP code, and its results print to PDF or Excel. It has no alert, no saved search, no email option and no county filter, so it shows what is there when you search and tells you nothing afterwards.

The LWDA also has a mailing list, the Subscribe to Mailing List link in the News menu of labor.ca.gov. Its topics are news and updates, funding opportunities and job openings, and none of them is new PAGA notices.

Checking the search yourself

1. Open the PAGA case search and choose PAGA Notice as the submission type.
2. Set From and To to cover the last few days rather than today alone. The agency posts some notices late, which is why this site's own pull searches each day and the three days before it.
3. Search, and print the results to PDF or Excel if you want to keep them.

What the email is

The email carries the CSV as an attachment and a download link that works for fourteen days. The daily email goes out every weekday evening, Monday to Friday, and the Monday email also carries anything posted over the weekend. The weekly email goes out on Mondays and covers the week that just closed.

The file is built from the same search and is a different set from its results: it carries only the notices that name an employer with a California address, and leaves out any whose employer name reads as a person's name. The columns and a sample are on the page for the daily and weekly email.
